This weekend the 2011 State Tournament and the 2011 Girls Tennis season came to a successful end.  The Arrows finished 7th at the event with highlights at 1 singles with Lori Foltz’s 3rd place finish being the highest in Coach Ewald’s 11 years at flight 1.  Kirsten Titze ended her career with a Consolation Championship at flight 2 and teamed with Jonna Vachal for a 6th place finish at flight 2 doubles.  The rest of the team did very well with everyone adding points to the Arrow’s total.  It is always tough to say goodbye to the seniors but even more so this year with Lori and Kirsten.  They have been varsity players for 3 years and been a part of 2 ESD championships and have been on the awards stand at 3 state tourneys.  The have been great leaders and are even better people; we wish them a great future!

As for 2012 we return some very fine tennis players.  If they get out and work hard over the next year we look forward to a good Watertown team next year.
